Information we collect :
iBluebottle is an online matchmaking service meant for top Indian professionals. Only users who clear our
qualifying criteria can become members. We approve each member individually. We ask our members to create a
comprehensive profile which is then used by our matching engine, CHARMM (Compatibility Harmonizing Algorithm for
Refined Matchmaking) to come up with suitable matches for them. In this process we collect certain personally
identifiable information (PII) and also non-personally identifiable information (non-PII). We display some of
this information on our website and this can only be accessed by other members who have been deemed a match by
CHARMM. We do not allow random browsing of member profiles.
How we collect and use information:
Your personal information:
When you register with us and complete your profile by going to “Profile Builder”, we collect a wide variety of
information about you. This includes, but is not limited to, your email address, first name, last name, credit
card number for payment, billing address, a user-specified password, mailing address, zip code, telephone
number, gender, age, religion, salary, profession, education qualifications, marital status,
preference/lifestyle information, location of residence, photographs and horoscope. This information is used to
build your complete profile.
For our matchmaking engine CHARMM, we also ask you to provide us with answers to our Personality Test, and we
use your answers to build a personality profile for you and to find compatible matches for you. Your individual
responses to the personality test questions are strictly confidential. Except as otherwise stated in this
privacy statement, we do not disclose your PII to your matches or other users of our services.
Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your
Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and
are visiting our website or using our services. If you prefer, you can choose to have your computer warn you
each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies via your browser settings. Like most
websites, if you turn your cookies off, some of our services may not function properly.
Any time you visit any of our websites, our servers automatically gather information from your browser (such as
your IP addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time
stamp, and number of clicks) to analyze trends, administer the site, prevent fraud, track visitor movement in
the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information. We only use this data internally.
We require an e-mail address from you when you register for our services. We use your e-mail for both
transactional (e.g., order confirmation, refund and renewal processing, notifying of matches) and promotional
(e.g., newsletters, new product offerings, special discounts, event notifications, special third-party offers)
purposes. E-mail messages we send you may contain code that enables our database to track your usage of the
e-mails, including whether the e-mail was opened and what links (if any) were clicked. If you would rather not
receive promotional e-mails from us, please see the section below labeled “Opt-Out”. We reserve the right to
send you certain communications relating to the iBluebottle services, such as service announcements and
administrative messages, without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them.
We may make discussion boards available to our
users and visitors. Any information that is disclosed in these boards becomes
public information and you should be careful in disclosing any personal
Sharing your information with third parties:
iBluebottle will never share your personal information, without your express
permission.We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your
personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who
assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so
long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also
release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the
law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety.
iBluebottle website may contain links to other websites and you may be able to
access your account or content of your account from third party sites, such as
social networking sites, by way of various applications. The privacy policies of such
sites in connection with information you disclose on such sites may differ from the
practices of iBluebottle as set forth in this privacy statement, and we encourage you
to review their policies and practices. Such sites may also place their own cookies
or other files on your computer, collect data or solicit personal information from you.
We are not responsible for the privacy policies of any other websites.
Updating or removing your information:
You can modify or remove both PII and non-PII information from our database.
Certain profile information can be changed by signing into your account and
navigating to the relevant account page. However we do not allow you to change
certain other profile information including, but not limited to, your answers to our
Personality Test. You can contact iBluebottle by sending us an email at
if you wish to be removed completely from our database.
If you wish to opt out of receiving promotional e-mails and newsletters and want to
be removed from our e-mail database, you can either click on the
“unsubscribe” link on the bottom of the e-mail, go to the e-mail settings page from
your account home page and un-check the undesired promotions or send us an

We have extensive security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and
alteration of the information stored in our database. These measures include the
use of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and/or strong encryption technology during
credit card transactions and administrative access to site data. We will exercise
reasonable care in providing secure transmission of information between your
computer and our servers, but given that no information transmitted over the
Internet can be guaranteed 100% secure, we cannot ensure or warrant the security
of any information transmitted to us over the Internet and hence accept no liability
for any unintentional disclosure.
